The Secretary General of the United Nations (UN), António Guterres, called on the Taliban movement to halt its advance in Afghanistan and to negotiate with the Government with the national interest in mind.
Guterres cited that at least 241,000 people have fled due to the conflict and that at least 1,000 people have been killed or injured during attacks on the civilian population.
