A pregnant woman, 32, from the center who was not vaccinated, was hospitalized Tuesday (Monday) at Beilinson Hospital after falling ill in Corona and her condition deteriorating.
Today the doctors decided to give her a baby when she is 32 weeks pregnant.
After the birth she was transferred to intensive care in a stable condition and when she did not need respiration.
The baby was also taken to Schneider Hospital in a stable condition.
Dr. Ilya Kagan, director of Corona Intensive Care at Beilinson, said: "The woman is in stable condition and we are monitoring the course of the disease in the hope that there will be no worsening."
Prof Arnon Wiesnitzer, director of the Women's Hospital, commented on the case and said: "In previous waves we have dealt with a number of similar cases in which there was a struggle for the life of the mother. At this point the midwife is stable and the baby has been transferred to the Schneider Center for Pediatrics in a stable condition as well. In light of this case, I once again call on pregnant women to approach and get vaccinated. "
