As part of the activities of the art gardens organized by the Ministry of Culture, Al Orouba Park in Lattakia hosted this evening the theatrical performance for children, “The Country of Jasmine,” prepared and directed by Nidal Adeera.
The show presented by Elissar Group for Dramatic Arts simulates the terrorist war that Syria was subjected to within a story that symbolizes the struggle against the aggressors and instills in children the love of the homeland, cooperation and solidarity to defend its soil.
Assistant director Bassam Saeed said in a statement to SANA reporter that the play conveys to the children a realistic image close to their minds to instill in them national concepts that emphasize adherence to the unity of the homeland and the solidarity of its children to confront any external aggression, noting the public interaction that accompanies the performances by children and their families.
Director of Culture Majd Sarim pointed out that the activity of the art gardens set up by the ministry in a number of governorates is moving towards expanding the cultural activity to establish it outside the cultural centers and bring it to a societal state that is attached to daily life, where the exhibition conditions allow for a comfortable existence in a family-friendly atmosphere.
He pointed out that the directorate aspires to hold similar activities in other locations, including an open-air cinema, or to hold artistic concerts with fine art forums, noting that the Orouba Park was chosen to hold these events because it includes a theater dedicated to such events.
