According to the US Department of Defense, an average of 700 people have been evacuated every hour from the Kabul airport, amid a specific threat from the Afghan branch of ISIS.
The Pentagon is concerned that this group could use car bombs or suicide attacks against civilians.
Officials in Joe Biden's administration have said that many of the Afghans who worked for the United States and its allies will not be able to leave Afghanistan in time.
