Health Minister Horowitz: "We will deny the green mark to those who do not get vaccinated in the third dose" Israel today

The morbidity in Israel is reaching an all-time high, but there seems to be no fear at present of the penetration of new and resistant variants.

The government and the Ministry of Health are hardening their positions:

Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz said tonight (Tuesday) in an interview with News 13 that "we will deny the green card to anyone who does not get vaccinated in a third dose."

At the same time, a senior official involved in dealing with the corona crisis estimated that we have several weeks ahead in which the daily number of verified will be over 10,000.

The source added that "we will probably reach 13-14 thousand, no more. Without the booster we would have reached other places. It is important to remember that we are on the 'glass ceiling' of corona tests and that the country's capabilities are around 150 thousand tests. In about two or three weeks I estimate that "The infection will reach 1 and then we will start to see a decrease. I estimate in 3-4 weeks."

As mentioned, the fight against the Delta variant continues in full force after the third-dose vaccine for those aged 30 and over was approved following the recommendation of the Corona Vaccine Advisory Team, the Epidemic Treatment Team, and members of the Vaccine Benefit and Safety Monitoring Committee.

As will be recalled, at the last meeting it was recommended to gradually expand the circle of vaccinators to young groups over 40 years of age.

In addition, there is an encouraging trend of an increase in the rate of vaccinators, when it comes to a significant rate that strengthens immunity in Israel against the virus.

According to data from the Home Front Command's Information and Knowledge Center, yesterday 11,000 new Israelis came to be vaccinated with their first vaccine dose, while 10,000 were vaccinated with this dose on Sunday as well.

This is a direct continuation of the trend of the last two weeks in which there has been an increase in the number of Israelis who come to get vaccinated.

The daily average currently stands at about 8,000 vaccinated (including Saturdays and Fridays, when there are almost no vaccines).

Meanwhile, about 9,800 people were diagnosed yesterday and this is the highest number in the current wave.

In addition, there was a slight increase in the number of patients in critical condition - 678, of whom 123 were respirators.

The coefficient of infection is 1.19.

Since the beginning of the week, 45 people have died in Israel after falling ill in Corona.
