Michael Nader and Joan Collins in 'Dynasty'Aaron Spelling Productions
American actor Michael Nader died this Monday at the age of 76 as a result of cancer.
Nader's wife, Jodi Lister, made the news Wednesday with a statement recalling her husband as "a fascinating and wonderful man of many talents and abilities."
The artist rose to international fame in the eighties for playing Dex Dexter, Alexis Colby's third husband - played by Joan Collins - in the soap opera
Dinastía
(1981-1989).
Lister commented that, at the time of death, her husband was writing his memoirs, where he talked about his career and his personal fight against addictions.

Nader was born in St. Louis, Missouri in 1945. The nephew of actor George Nader, he began his career in the 1960s in small roles in youth beach movies. He participated in several soap operas over the next decade, such as

, where he joined the cast in season three and would remain until the end of the series. There he played Farnsworth

Collins paid tribute to his former scene partner on Instagram, where he recalled his performance as "a mixture of rudeness and cuteness."
"Alexis was crazy to keep rejecting him," writes the actress.
