Monas Dabour, a player for the Israeli national team for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers against the Faroe Islands, Austria and Denmark, issued an official announcement on his behalf tonight (Thursday) ahead of his return to the squad.
"It is important for me to clarify my position once and for all - I am very happy to be part of the squad for the upcoming games against the Faroe Islands, Austria and Denmark, committed to its success and proud to be a part of it.
"In recent weeks I have been in touch with the coach and all the key players in the team and the association and I have made it clear that I want and am proud to be on the team. Everyone who knows me knows that I am always in favor of tolerance, mutual respect and coexistence and will continue to do so. I understand them all and will do together to reunite through football and the national team.
"One of the great strengths of our team is the opportunity to talk about everything together and we will do so at the next gathering to come united and stronger than ever to the challenge. I am convinced that only together can we do for the benefit of football and our society.
