With the participation of 40 companies, the activities of the ninth edition of the “Al-Khairat” festival, organized by a group of businessmen and women in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, were launched today, in Qudsaya, in Damascus countryside.
The 15-day festival includes a variety of food and consumer goods, textiles, cleaning materials, clothing, school supplies "stationery, clothes and bags", household and electrical appliances of good quality and reasonable prices, in addition to competitions and gifts to visitors by participating companies. It also includes a special section for martyrs' families in which school clothes and bags are presented. Stationery is free.
The Assistant Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, Eng. Rifaat Suleiman, confirmed in a press statement that the ministry supports all festivals and exhibitions that offer discounts on prices in all regions by displaying and presenting materials from the producer to the consumer directly and breaking the mediation rings, thus reducing the profit margin and contributing to supporting the purchasing power of citizens. .
The Secretary of the Syrian-Iranian Chamber of Commerce, Mosan Nahas, noted the quality of the materials offered at the festival and the appropriate and acceptable prices for the various segments, which include everything the family requires, as the discounts reach the cost price and sometimes less, in addition to the importance of having a special section for the families of the martyrs.
The head of the Businessmen and Women Group, Dr. Muhammad Al-Jabali, said in a press statement that the festival continues to move within the governorates to achieve the desired goal, which is to serve the citizen in various regions and places by providing a wide variety of materials and supplies that the family needs, pointing out that the percentage of discounts ranges between 20 and 50 percent. .
Regarding the Martyrs’ Families Department, its supervisor, Dr. Nisreen Nahas, explained that it will be within the festival of good deeds in all governorates, and currently, stationery and school clothes are provided free of charge, as soon as the family shows the honor card in their possession.
Ibrahim Amrawi, director of marketing for a company selling detergents and tissues, pointed out the importance of participating in the festival to present and introduce products and reach the largest possible number of citizens, while the participant, Maryam Shehadeh from a food and consortium company, indicated that their participation comes with the aim of positive intervention with discounts and promotion of the company's products.
Ghassan Jalilati, director of a leather company, pointed out that the idea of the festival was to reduce prices, and since it coincided with the school opening season, the goods had to be offered at cost with a simple profit margin. It is sold within the festival for 6500 liras.
The festival, which is held in Nazlat Al-Sahaba in Qudsaya, opens its doors to visitors daily from 11 am to 11 pm.
