The Special Representative of the Russian President for the Middle East and African Countries, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, and the Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General for Syria Geir Pedersen stressed the importance of proceeding with the process of resolving the crisis in Syria on the basis of Security Council Resolution 2254.
A statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry said today that the two sides stressed, during a phone call, “the importance of moving forward with the process of resolving the crisis in Syria on the basis of Security Council Resolution 2254, including continuing to coordinate efforts to serve the interests of the established security in the Syrian Arab Republic.”
The statement indicated that the two parties discussed preparations for holding the sixth round of the mini-committee to discuss the constitution.
