The president of the Argentine Football Association, Claudio Tapia, was outraged by the suspension of the match between Brazil and Argentina in São Paulo after four Anvisa officials entered the playing field to take Emiliano Martínez, Cristian Romero, Gio Lo Celso and Emiliano Buendía, whom they accused of having falsified the sworn statement for not informing that they had been in England in the last 14 days.
"This is unfortunate for football," Tapia bellowed in statements to TyC Sports.
And he continued: "Four people without chinstraps entered the field."
The match was interrupted after 5 minutes of play after these officials got into the Nao Química Arena playing field.
An hour later, Conmebol announced that the match referee, Jesús Valenzuela, decided to suspend the match.
The AFA leaders are convinced that the match will not be resumed and that FIFA will give Argentina three points for "unauthorized persons entering the field of play."
