Ensuring a Happy holiday: Chefs for the Needy | Israel today

While the Corona crisis has significantly affected the amount of donations this year, Israel's top chefs have volunteered for the weaker sections.


While the media reports a decline in the amount of donations this year due to the corona period that has had a huge economic impact on both the underprivileged and the middle class, the top chefs in Israel have rallied to help.

Last week, the logistics center of the Leket Israel organization, which deals with food rescue and helps hundreds of organizations and hundreds of thousands of needy people across the country, chefs Michal Ansky, Avi Bitton, Oren Asido, Itiela Hayat, winner of Master Chef, Miki Shemu, Shaul Ben Aderet and Barak Yehezkeli.

The chefs sorted, arranged and packed fruits and vegetables that came from farmers all over the country ahead of the Tishrei holidays.

These days the packages are making their way to hundreds of thousands in need.
