US Republican Representative Adam Kinzinger considered that his party does not deserve to win a majority in the upcoming congressional elections if it continues to promote lies and conspiracy theories.
"If we are going to take charge and continue to promote conspiracy theories and lies and sow divisions, the Republican Party does not deserve to have a majority," the deputy told CNN, stressing that the party "is in dire need of telling the truth."
Kenzinger also criticized Kevin McCarthy's warning to private companies not to cooperate with a congressional committee investigating the January 6 attack on the Capitol, describing it as "a shocking matter."
And many Republican lawmakers have previously adopted former President Donald Trump's allegations that his defeat in the December 2020 elections was the result of widespread fraud.
