At nearly 4 a.m., a private car was driving along Waterloo Road in Kowloon Tong towards Sha Tin. On the way to the entrance of Lion Rock Tunnel, it suddenly lost control and fired itself. It first rammed a traffic light post on the left, and then rammed all cars on the side of the mountain. During the period, two road signs were swept away, and the whole car rushed out to the New Territories lane before stopping on four wheels.
It was reported that there were 3 men and 1 woman in the car at that time, of which 2 men and 1 woman were injured and must be sent to hospital for treatment.
Police closed the Lions Tunnel to the New Territories direction for rescue.
As the private car involved had an oil leak, the firefighter had to be present to deal with it.
The police are investigating the incident.
Sources at the scene stated that a female driver was driving at the time. At the time of the incident, the tunnel was driving on a single tube and two-way traffic. The tunnel to the New Territories was closed. When the vehicle arrived, it was suspected that the ice cream cone was not detected in time, and it twisted when it was found. In addition, the rain and the slippery road caused accidents.
It is known that the car has a P plate, but the driver has "dropped the P".
