But what happened?
According to the Bochum fire brigade, a woman wanted to take the elevator from the basement to an office building around 4.40 p.m.

But then the misfortune took its course.

When the elevator doors were closed, the woman was already inside the elevator, but the four-legged friend was still outside.
As the elevator moved up, the dog was pulled up with it, as the fire department explains.
The woman acted with presence of mind and stopped the elevator on the first floor.
In addition, she blocked the elevator door to prevent further travel and called for help.
At that time, the dog was helpless in the basement at the top of the elevator door.
When the emergency services arrived at the office building a short time later, the dog's owner was still sitting on the floor of the elevator car, in her hand the last 10 centimeters of the dog leash on which the dog was hanging.

A rescue team immediately went to the basement to first stabilize the frightened animal.
The dog's harness was then carefully cut with scissors and the dog was freed from its predicament.
