In December 2019, the Legionaries of Christ recognized that 175 minors were victims of sexual abuse by priests. Shortly after, the Conference of the Mexican Episcopate reported that in the last 10 years it had investigated more than 426 priests for the same cause. The book "Sacred Predators" collects testimonies from victims, philosophers, theologians and other experts on the subject. The sociologist specialized in Religious Beliefs and Culture Bernardo Barranco and José Barba —one of the victims of the Legionaries of Christ— speak about this literary work.
