The occupants of the building that collapsed on Serlin Street in Holon are trying to digest the sudden disaster.

Sixteen families woke up on Saturday morning knocking on the door of their house announcing immediate evacuation, without warning, quickly packed the items they had collected for years, and went out into the street in pajamas and underwear without knowing if they would return.

Today (Sunday) already watched the five-story building completely collapse.

"At seven in the morning on Saturday, I woke up and heard the sounds of a walkie-talkie," said Chaya Chen Arad, who has lived in the building for 15 years with her family.

"I imagined it was police or firefighters, that someone got stuck in an elevator. I wanted to help and asked what happened, and I was told to evacuate the apartment quickly because the building was about to collapse. Of course I was in a total market. I went home and screamed like crazy. I have two small children, a soldier. "Everyone slept. We got out of bed with pajamas or underwear. They started evacuating the tenants, knocking on the doors."
