What is missing?

Families were able to answer questions like these in a youth council survey.

It has now evaluated 461 responses.

Geretsried - The soccer field on Isardamm is one of the most popular playgrounds in the city.

That is the result of a survey by the youth council, which Sabrina Lorenz presented on Wednesday evening in the youth council meeting in the council chambers.

The eleven members of the committee have done a lot of work.

At the request of the city council, they should take a close look at all ten municipal playgrounds and look for opportunities for improvement.

For this purpose, the young people started an online survey among parents with the help of city youth worker Julia Brandner.

References to this were posted on the playgrounds.

The youth council received a total of 461 responses, "not a bad response, for the fact that it was vacation time", said the youth officer of the city council, Felix Leipold.

Most of the time Geretsrieder took part, 20 forms were filled out by outsiders.

The questions were what users like, what they don't, and what suggestions they have.

Gelting

The hillside location and the bird's nest swing were rated positively, the lack of shade in summer and the amount of rubbish were negative.

The survey participants named a normal swing, a climbing frame for smaller children, a slackline, a table with benches, a seesaw and a zip line as at the football field on the Isardamm.

Council chambers

The playground is new and may not be known to everyone that it is public.

The road noise from the B11 is annoying and the metal slide gets very hot in summer.

The visitors want a small noise protection wall, a cover for the sandpit to prevent cat excrement and a table tennis table.

Jeschkenstrasse

The carousel and soccer field are particularly popular here.

There could be more seesaw and wooden animals for smaller children.

A swing and a climbing frame are also missing.

Schlierseeweg

Parents of smaller children encourage a sandpit and a baby swing.

In general, the playground could be upgraded with more equipment.

Joh.-Seb.-Bach-Strasse

The lantern at the end of the toboggan hill, which you could hit while sledding, is criticized.

Otherwise the playground is highly praised.

The icing on the cake would be water features, a sun sail for the sandpit, a horizontal bar and other sports equipment.

Künnekeweg

The newly created playground is often used in the mornings by the neighboring Karl Lederer School.

According to the survey, children are sometimes sent away by teachers.

Ideas would be excavators for the sandpit and a cable car.

Wroclaw Way

The playground is in the shade and offers easy parking.

The devices like the dragon are visually beautiful and something special.

However, parents lack more play equipment for toddlers such as a sandpit or a baby swing.

A table tennis table or a badminton field would also be ideal on the large square.

Adalbert-Stifter-Strasse

The fenced-in area is very well received, also because it offers enough seating for the parents.

Unfortunately, the high influx also brings a lot of garbage with it.

Another rubbish bin, lockable doors, a table tennis table and a tree house are encouraged.

Johannisplatz

The number of devices has been reduced, which means that, according to parents, the playground is not very varied.

Among other things, you would like a large slide, a climbing frame and a seesaw.

Isar dam

The soccer field on Isardamm seems to be the family favorite.

The cable car is the attraction there.

But some are old and broken, the parents complain.

For example, there is no climbing net.

A slackline, more seesaws, a carousel, a small playhouse for the younger generation and playing field markings on the basketball court are encouraged.

Overall, the survey showed that many users would like water features.

Cleanliness, safety and versatility are important to them.

The parents should feel comfortable and find seating.

Value is placed on play equipment made from natural materials and on those for children with handicaps.

The playgrounds in Bichl, Krün, Altkirchen and Starnberg are role models in the area that the youth council has looked at.

The youth council intends to present its study to the city council soon.

According to Julia Brandner, funds for the redesign and redesign will be taken into account in the budget planning for 2022.
