China announced today its intention to launch the first satellite to explore solar energy.
"The main payload on the satellite will be the Solar Imaging Spectroradiometer (HI), which will collect images of the sun in that spectrum, which will help researchers to notice changes in it," Xinhua quoted the Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology as saying.
The satellite design ensures superior guidance accuracy and payload stability.
