Abstract.

Allowing all audiences to attend a classical music concert is Zahia Ziouani's commitment. At 43 years old, the conductor multiplies the performances, as well in the Parisian halls as in the MJC of Seine-Saint-Denis, her native department. Daughter of Algerian immigrants living in Pantin, her childhood was bathed in the love of symphonies, guitar, viola and sheet music. A brilliant student, she follows a path of excellence and dreams of one day conducting an orchestra, even if her teachers tell her that "it is not a woman's job". After years of hard work to find a place in this very masculine world, in 1998 she created her own symphony orchestra, Divertimento. Today Zahia Ziouani is a renowned “maestra” around the world, and her story inspires cinema. She retraces her career at Amber Rosala's microphone.
