Football again in front of a full backdrop: from the derby against Bayer Leverkusen in two weeks' time, the fans of 1. FC Cologne can again occupy all seats in the stadium. The health department approved that, the Bundesliga club announced on Thursday. The prerequisite for this, however, is that only those who have been vaccinated and recovered have access to the stadium. Children up to and including 16 years of age and persons who are not able to vaccinate with a certificate are excluded from this rule.
Cologne - From October 24th, around 50,000 spectators can cheer on the teams at the home games in Cologne.
"A huge praise goes to all of our fans who adhered to the specifications in an exemplary and disciplined manner at the past home games and thus showed that our hygiene and infection protection concept works very well," said FC managing director Alexander Wehrle according to the announcement.
"What that means for our team has been impressively experienced in the last home games." Dpa
