Munich - Bavaria's rail traffic will get better from December 12th: There are more connections and it is often faster: At the same time, however, the railways are also increasing their prices by an average of 1.9 percent.

First of all, the good news: In long-distance transport, Munich * will benefit from an ICE Sprinter line from December, which runs twice a day to Nuremberg, Frankfurt Airport, Cologne and Düsseldorf and back again.

Local traffic is also getting faster in the direction of Lindau: On the route via Memmingen that was electrified for the ECEs to Zurich last year, the British Go-Ahead is starting up with new trains: the travel time to Memmingen is shortened in local traffic from one and a half to 1:05 hours, to Lindau from two and a half to three to 2:25 hours.

Season tickets and individual tickets then cost 1.9 percent more.
