The Yemeni parliament expressed its full solidarity with Syria in the face of the Israeli attacks and foreign interference in its affairs, denouncing the violations of the American and Turkish occupation forces on its lands and the continuation of the coercive economic measures imposed on its people.
The Council said in a statement that the House of Representatives in the Republic of Yemen is following the developments of the situation in the sisterly Syrian Arab Republic and the attacks and violations it is subjected to, especially the repeated aggressive operations committed by the Zionist entity and the looting of oil wealth and kidnapping of civilians in northern Syria by the American occupation, with the continued siege and American sanctions. In addition, Turkey and its armed organizations continue to cut off drinking water, especially for the people of al-Hasakah city and its western countryside, and deprive more than a million Syrians of their right to access the main water sources.”
The statement added that "the House of Representatives in the Republic of Yemen expresses its full solidarity with the sisterly Syria's leadership and people, condemns the various forms of attacks and violations it is subjected to, and affirms the right of the Syrian people to struggle and confront the Israeli enemy and any external aggression and to respond to all the violations that Syria is subjected to until the liberation of Syria." The entire Syrian soil, the extension of the state’s sovereignty over all its territories, and the confrontation of all external interventions that try to tamper with the security of citizens and the stability of their lives.”
The Council denounced “the continuation of the US economic blockade and sanctions on Syria and the resulting crises and economic and humanitarian repercussions that have harmed the lives and livelihoods of Syrian citizens and their right to a free, dignified, stable and secure life.”
