Hundreds of people are now demonstrating (Saturday) at the Tel Aviv Cinematheque plaza as part of the interns' protest.

As mentioned, the interns are protesting the terms of their employment and recently stepped up in protest, when they submitted resignation letters yesterday.

The demonstrators are blocking Ibn Gvirol Street and disturbances are being recorded there.

During the demonstration, the chairman of the Association of Specialist Physicians, Dr. Ray Bitton, received a summons to a meeting with the chairman of the medical division of the Ministry of Health, Vered Ezra. In response to the invitation, Bitton replied: The Minister in these exceptional days did not help.

We will be happy to meet with the Minister at any moment or time, including tonight. "

"The Ministry of Health locked the doors and the heart," Bitton stressed.

"We were prevented from submitting the resignation letter and we had to stick it on the door. We were not even allowed to resign with dignity."

Bitton added and attacked the delegation.

"I turn to Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz and Finance Minister Avigdor Lieberman and you know what? Also to Prime Minister Naftali Bennett: Come on, do a 26-hour shift in Corona protection, and after that we'll see you tell us it makes sense to continue working like this!"
