Damascus-SANA
Artist Julia Saeed documented the relationship between the feather and the soil of the homeland and made of it colors that consolidate identity and enhance belonging.
The artist, Saeed, the daughter of the city of Raqqa, conveyed her astonishment and passion for dust, in an artistic style, in a workshop hosted by the Arab Cultural Center in Kafr Sousa.
Said said in a statement to SANA: "The dirt has amazed me with its beautiful colors since childhood, and I had various experiences of painting with oil, acrylic and lead colors."
Saeed started with this artistic style with workshops and various activities from the Al-Basel Garden in Tartous and the Church of Our Lady of Peace in Homs, and finally this workshop in Damascus will be held in the culture of Kafr Susa.
The subjects included in the students' work varied, most of which were drawing beautiful houses with innocent hands and merging writing with drawing.
Saeed believes that dirt mixed with water is useful and strengthens the body's immunity from diseases in children, unlike colors that contain chemicals and are available anywhere.
It is noteworthy that Julia Said is an art teacher who paints in her own way using dirt. She has distinctive and varied paintings, and has participated in many group exhibitions.
