A 65-year-old motorcyclist from Augsburg was seriously injured in an accident on Saturday afternoon in the Steingaden district of Engen.
The man was on the B 17 towards Peiting at around 3:30 p.m. when, according to the police, he was alone in the opposite lane in a long straight for an unknown reason and then deviated slightly from the lane.
When the motorcyclist pulled to the right again, he began to lurch and hit the guardrail with his motorcycle.
The 65-year-old was flown to the hospital by helicopter.
Witnesses who observed the incident are asked to report to the Schongau police station on tel. 08861 / 2346-0.
