The Ministry of Health announced today (Thursday) the closure of the Herzliya branch of the Nafis restaurant chain until further notice due to many sanitary deficiencies found at the site.
People from the Tel Aviv District Health Bureau arrived at the scene and found many food products - including beef, chicken and eggs - whose origin and validity are unknown.
According to the directive of the district veterinarian of the Ministry of Health, a total of 224 kg of those products were destroyed, which according to the ministry's inspection did not meet the conditions required for storage and serving, and thus could actually be harmful to public health.
The story does not end here.
During the inspection, police were called to the scene because the veterinarian from the Ministry of Health who arrived at the scene was attacked during the inspection.
When the police arrived at the scene, it was decided that it would be closed until the repair of the defects was completed by its owner.
