Palestinian Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh renewed his call on the international community to take firm stances to stop the Israeli occupation's settlement plans in the Palestinian territories.
During his meeting with Luxembourg Prime Minister Xavier Bettel, Shtayyeh called on the international community and European countries to shoulder their responsibilities and pressure the Israeli occupation to stop its continuous violations against the Palestinians and stop its settlement and Judaization plans aimed at impeding the establishment of a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
Shtayyeh, who started a European tour three days ago, welcomed the statement issued by the European Union calling on the occupation entity to stop its settlement plans in the occupied Palestinian territories and to retract a new plan to establish about 1,300 settlement units in the West Bank, considering that international laxity in dealing with the occupation entity's violations of international law It encourages him to continue his attacks and violations against the Palestinians and to seize their lands and properties.
