An SUV in which 15 undocumented immigrants were traveling overturned this Friday morning in the Texan county of Culberson, killing four of its occupants, according to the Border Report website, citing sources from the state Department of Public Health.
The other 11 people are injured, five of them were taken in condition.
The incident took place around 5:30 a.m. (local time) about 25 miles north of Van Horn, a small town of 2,000 along the Mexican border and south of El Paso.
The Nissan Pathfinder truck overturned without any other vehicle involved, according to state agents, although the circumstances of what happened are unknown so far.
The Customs and Border Protection Office is collaborating in the investigation, according to the aforementioned media, to identify the victims, who were apparently of Guatemalan nationality.
