The Miscellaneous Investigation Team of the Kwun Tong Police District launched an anti-crime operation code-named "BRAVEDUKE" at about 10 o'clock last night (29th). They raided multiple party rooms in the district and found one located at 11-13 Shing Yip Street. The party room of is suspected to be operating illegally and is suspected of violating the Prevention and Control of Disease (Regulations and Instructions) (Business and Premises) Regulations (Chapter 599F).
During the operation, 15 men and 8 women (20 to 38 years old) were suspected of violating the Prevention and Control of Diseases (Prohibition of Group Gathering) Regulations (Chapter 599G), and the officers issued fixed penalty notices to them.
In addition, officers also arrested a 58-year-old person in charge surnamed Zhu Nan, who is suspected of violating the Prevention and Control of Disease (Regulations and Instructions) (Business and Premises) Regulations (Chapter 599F) and is currently being detained for investigation.
The Prevention and Control of Disease (Regulations and Instructions) (Business and Premises) Regulations (Chapter 599F) stipulates that for party rooms to operate, customers and employees must complete the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
In addition, the person in charge of the premises should also ensure that customers use the mobile app to scan the QR code of "Travel with peace of mind" when entering the premises.
The police appealed to the public to take care of themselves and others and strictly abide by the "Prevention and Control of Disease Ordinance" to help control the epidemic and reduce the risk of the spread of the virus in the community.
