At 27, she is the first woman to officially take up the post of lookout at Notre-Dame Cathedral in Lausanne. A profession classified as part of the city's intangible heritage.

"It's

the lookout, it rang 10, it rang 10."

At the age of 27, Cassandre Berdoz became the first woman in history to officially take up the post of auxiliary lookout at Notre-Dame de Lausanne cathedral.

The city, located on the shores of Lake Geneva, is one of six European cities that still have an active watch, responsible for announcing the hours.

Passionate about singing, she has never lost sight of this goal since the age of 13.

She now chants, from the belfry, every hour of the night, from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m.

It had nothing to do with religion.
