At the age of 27, Cassandre Berdoz became the first woman in history to officially take up the post of auxiliary lookout at Notre-Dame de Lausanne cathedral.
The city, located on the shores of Lake Geneva, is one of six European cities that still have an active watch, responsible for announcing the hours.
Passionate about singing, she has never lost sight of this goal since the age of 13.
She now chants, from the belfry, every hour of the night, from 10 p.m. until 2 a.m.

We have written proof of the existence of a watchtower in Lausanne since 1405. Installed at the top of the belfry, he watched the surroundings and alarmed the population in the event of a fire breaking out, but he also rang the bells and above all announced the hours of the day and night.
