The images of secret Israeli sites in full view of the first Internet user.

This is a reality that the Jewish state will have to get used to.

For the first time, high-definition satellite photos have been available free of charge for a few days on the Internet, thanks to the Mapbox site and multiple applications.

Everyone can now observe at will the Dimona nuclear power plant in the south of the country, presented by foreign experts as the heart of the Israeli atomic arsenal, as well as the base where ballistic missiles are supposed to be stored.

A radical departure from a ban in effect since 1997. At the time, the United States, at the urging of the Jewish state, had banned the publication of too precise satellite images of Israel by private American companies .

Israeli officials feared that these documents could endanger his security and promote espionage operations.
