The People’s Assembly condemned in the strongest terms the Turkish parliament’s renewal of the so-called “authorization granted” to the President of the Turkish regime, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, to send military forces to Syria and Iraq for a period of two years, stressing that the actions and aggressions of this regime on Syrian territory are unacceptable, “neither legally, legally, morally nor inhumanely.” .
In a statement, which SANA received a copy of today, the council reiterated that Erdogan's actions and policies have become a major and direct threat to regional and international peace and security, and contravene the most basic standards of commitment to international law, international humanitarian law, human rights, and the principles and objectives of the United Nations Charter based on the equality of sovereignty among states and respect for their independence. political and territorial integrity, and Security Council resolutions related to the situation in Syria.
The Council called on the regional and international parliamentary unions and organizations to condemn all aggressive practices of the Turkish regime and compel it to immediately stop its aggression on Syrian lands, fully and unconditionally withdraw from the lands it occupies, and not to interfere in Syria's internal affairs.
