Review 'Riders Republic': the game that will get you addicted to extreme sports

2021-11-01T21:51:10.150Z

'Riders Republic', by Ubisoft, is a video game in which you are going to fly, crash and go at high speeds in the middle of incredible landscapes.

'Riders Republic' is fast, extreme, fun and also a game where you will fly, crash and go at high speeds in the middle of incredible landscapes in places like Yosemite National Park in California.

A few months ago, we told you about our experience with the beta of this Ubisoft game.

The title is already on sale and we were able to test it thoroughly.

The return of extreme sports

I grew up playing Tony Hawk's titles on my PlayStation in which I learned to do tricks on a skateboard and even create my own parks, but for several years I could not find another extreme sports game that I really enjoyed.

  • We tested the new Nintendo Switch OLED: is it worth the upgrade?

'Riders Republic' is a place full of young people riding bicycles, snowboards and even flight suits.

In each competition you will be able to earn stars that will allow you to unlock new and better teams and thus you will be able to improve in the races significantly.

This Ubisoft proposal comes not only to satisfy a niche audience fanatic of adrenaline, but to catch new players who love online competitions while doing tricks and advancing through fun, complex circuits and where they will surely fall more than once and they will try to regain positions.

Time to pedal

There are five main events in 'Riders Republic': bike races, skis and snowboards although you can also wear a suit with wings and another powered by rockets that lift you through the air.

In addition, when riding a bicycle or while flying, it is more enjoyable if you put the camera from the perspective of your character, who can be a man or a woman.

  • 'FIFA 22' review: EA Sports exploits the full potential of new consoles

The adrenaline rush comes when you rush down a steep mountain and while competing with other players online.

The cheat system is straightforward regardless of whether you're on a bike or a snowboard.

The game provides a great sense of speed and of being inside a massive world, made up of seven American parks filled with dozens of points of interest and events.

But it's not all about stunt races and events.

There are some other side challenges like one where they ask you to deliver pizzas within a time limit.

And you can also choose to aimlessly navigate the map while finding hidden collectibles or just enjoy the incredible views.

Ubisoft has us used to excellent environments, scenarios that we love to explore, detailed vegetation and more.

I think 'Riders Republic' has one of the best landscape varieties we've seen to date.

The verdict for 'Riders Republic'

Once you finish the tutorials (the flight one took me longer than the others) great career possibilities open up, so there's enough to do to keep you busy for a long time.

  • Review 'Far Cry 6': a portrait of the revolutions in Latin America

'Riders Republic' features good gameplay mechanics that make it easy to learn to do tricks while skiing, snowboarding, or biking.

Something that the game does not respect is the laws of physics as you fly through the skies with the suits, but sacrifices it in the name of fun.

So grab your bike because it's time to ride and do tricks in the air, on the ground, and even in the snow.
