Wafa news agency quoted Ahmed al-Deek, advisor to the Palestinian Foreign Minister, as saying in a statement on the 104th anniversary of the ominous Balfour Declaration: Britain made a historical mistake and it is time to apologize to the Palestinian people for the ominous promise that the Palestinian people are still suffering from its consequences and the resulting displacement and scourge, stressing that the memory of The promise will only increase the Palestinian people's attachment to their land and adherence to their rights.
Al-Deek stressed that Britain should recognize the state of Palestine and support its people to obtain their legitimate rights, foremost of which is the establishment of their independent state on the June 4, 1967 line, with Jerusalem as its capital, and the right of refugees to return to their homes from which they were displaced.
