The Russian Ambassador to the United States of America, Anatoly Antonov, announced that his country and Washington have resumed a professional dialogue on strategic stability, security and cybersecurity, which constitutes positive signs in dealing with bilateral relations.
Russia Today website quoted Antonov as saying, in today's speech at the opening of the tenth annual meeting of the "Fort Ross" Forum for Dialogue, that preventing the arms race and restraint in cyber competition are of paramount importance to stabilizing bilateral contacts and preventing tension from turning into a real crisis, pointing out also to the President's approval American Joe Biden on Moscow's proposal to extend the START treaty for five years.
The Russian-American relations have been experiencing a crisis during the recent period due to the policies pursued by the US administration and the approach of unilateral sanctions and attempts to dominate.
