Authorities reported on Monday that sulfur dioxide peaks were recorded in the Puntagorda area of the Cumbre Vieja volcano on the Spanish island of La Palma.
In addition, they stressed that the most important eruptive phenomenon of the last four days has been the emission of a considerable volume of ash in the west and northwest of the island, for which they advised to avoid outdoor activities in the municipalities of the valley of Aridane.
