Elisha Banai has long been one of the most prominent and talented young "builders" in the famous musical family, and after also integrating into the world of acting with roles on the big and small screen, recently picked up another achievement and became the national mummy on duty after winning with his mother, actress Orly Zilbersht the winner".
He is now launching a new mini-album (EP), from which his first single is released and his theme song is "Continues to Pursue Dreams" (lyrics and melody: Elisha Banai, musical production: Yarden Ashkenazi).
The song is accompanied by a clip directed by Elisha's sister, Amalia Zilbershtz, which combines two songs from the EP, and the editing of the text is entrusted to his father, whom you also know, Yuval.
"Music is always above everything, and on this album I feel I have won," says Banai. They are interested in doing a mix and being a part of my project. Angeles and I are here, and we got into a relationship that lasted half a year, and suddenly I find myself making an album that part of his process is not in the country, with the people who did the things I most admire in the world, so for me it's chasing dreams.
"Today there is a tendency to release singles all the time and not make more albums, and I still could not contain it. I think an album is a work like in a gallery exhibition, so I decided to close it with five songs, even though the notebook has seven more. We released a double clip with two songs ( "Continues to chase dreams" followed by "werewolf") because there is a story here that the next clip will also call, and all five at the end connect into one work about love, pain, sorrow, joy and parting. "
You worked with people overseas, but also with family.
"I try to be as artistically connected to myself as possible, and if that means it's close, that it's home, then home. "And slowly I face consequences and limitations, with demons, and realize that it's better for me to stay close than to keep away. In this album one sister made the clip, the other participates in it, mom and dad helped me with lyrics and I'm very happy because I think everyone is very talented."
What about the acting career these days?
"I play in Talia Lavie's latest film, which is currently being shown in cinemas, 'One in the Heart,' and next month there will be a 'victory picture' of Avi Nesher, in which I play a young kibbutznik who finds himself in an unpleasant situation due to the events of the Independence Day war."
The victory in "The Winning Kitchen" made you and your mother the darlings of the people. How does it feel to be a ninet?
"My mom Ninet and I Judah ... like me and it's very nice. We get crazy reactions, I'm a hit among the Golden Girls (laughs). My Instagram has jumped by thousands of followers. Nice to feel loved."
