Successful singer Billy Joel celebrated his return to the stage last week with his successful musical performance at Madison Square Garden after a forced corona break, and managed to surprise fans with his new and upgraded look.
Joel, 72, took to the stage presenting a new, shapely figure, the product of a 23-pound weight loss. The drop, he revealed about a month ago in an interview with radio host Howard Stern, was the product of a back surgery.
"I was happy to get rid of the weight."

"The pain after the surgery was so intense that I lost my appetite," he said.
"I got it. I said to myself 'okay I do not eat that much' and I just started eating less and less, and then came the ailments of life and difficulties and these also tend to affect the appetite." Joel said that the weight loss was not planned, but he "I got chubby so I was happy to get rid of the excess weight."
