The Israel Olympic Committee has selected the outstanding athletes and coaches of 2021 in six categories: Athlete of the Year, Athlete of the Year, Coach of the Year, Coach of the Year and Young Athlete of the Year.
In the Outstanding Athlete category for 2021, the Israeli Olympic Committee selected
Linoy Ashram
(22, Hapoel Ramat Eliyahu Rishon Lezion), winner of the gold medal in a multi-sport gymnastics competition at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. This is the fourth time in a row that Ashram has won this prestigious title.
In the Outstanding Athlete category,
Artium Dolgofyat
(24, Maccabi Tel Aviv)
was selected as the
Olympic champion in Tokyo. This is the second time in his career that Dolgofyat was crowned Athlete of the Year. The first time was in 2017.

For the first time this year, the Olympic Committee in Israel decided to award the title of Coach of the Year and Coach of the Year.
Ayelet Sussman
, Linoy Ashram's personal trainer,
was chosen in the category of coach of the year

This is the first time in Sussman's career that she has won this prestigious title.
Sussman is the only coach in the history of Olympic sports in Israel to lead an athlete to win an Olympic medal.

personal trainer of Artium Dolgofiat.
For Weisburg this will be the third win in this title (won in 2017 and 2019)
In the category of outstanding young athletes of the year, the Israeli Olympic Committee also selected an athlete.
In the young athlete of the year category, the high jumper
Jonathan Kapitolnik
(19, Maccabi Tel Aviv), the world champion and European youth champion in 2021,
was chosen
.
In the young athlete category of the year, surfer
Shachar Reshef
(16, Hapoel Mikhmoret)
was selected as the
world champion and European Under-21 champion in the new Olympic model IQ FOIL.
