The World Championships in Esport is organized by the International Federation of Electronic Sports (IESF), the championship will be held in the format of teams and will be played by players who have qualified from the regional championships around the world.
Already in the coming week, more than 300 players from around the world, from over 71 different countries will land in the country ahead of the 13th World Championship in 2021. The four games that will be played in the championship are Dota 2 (team), Counter Strike: Global Offensive (team), Tekken 7 (group), PES 2020 (individuals).
The person who will represent Israel in the competition will be the "Overwolf" Israel team, which is managed by the Israeli Gaming Association and is sponsored by the Israeli gaming company Overwolf.
The championship is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism, the Eilat Municipality, and Hanbit Soft Taiwan Excellence, and with the support of the Maccabi World Movement.
This is the largest team, both in terms of professional team and players that will play in the world championships and represent Israel.
