You can make your own, in a few minutes, a crunchy, salty and addictive snack that is amazingly good for you as well.

We will not bore you with the health benefits of nori seaweed, but let's put it this way: it puts in the small pocket the orange as a source of vitamin C, the meat as the source of iron and the milk as the source of calcium.

Good enough as a mid-night snack?

This recipe can be prepared in the oven or on the pan.

We prefer the pan version because it requires about 10 seconds per side and in less than 5 minutes you too will have a bowl of crispy and salty snack.

Raw materials

  • Package of nori seaweed sheets (available at health food stores, specialty stores and the Far East department at the supermarket)

  • Oil spray or sesame oil and kitchen brush

  • Coarse salt

  • Sesame

  • Spicy garlic / chili powder for those who like

Preparation:

  • Cut the nori to a size that will fit in your pan.

    Spray or apply sesame oil on one side of the accelerator and sprinkle spices as you see fit.

  • Roast for about 15-10 seconds on each side in a hot pan and set aside.

    If you chose to work with an oven, place the seaweed in a pan and place in a preheated oven over medium heat for about 10 minutes, or until the seaweed dries and becomes crispy.

  • Once you have prepared enough sheets for individual, couple or group consumption, cut the sheets into nice chips, stack them in a bowl - and with an appetite!
