The Italian club is demanding that Amazon Prime cut a few seconds from the docu-series on the Argentine football star • "The use of the term 'fascism' is disgusting because it is a deliberate defamation.

Amazon Prime has decided in the past year to pick up an autobiographical series about the life of football legend Diego Maradona, who passed away about two years ago (November 25) following a fatal cardiac arrest.

Among other things, the series will follow the tumultuous life of the Argentine in Naples whom he faithfully served for a long period of 8 seasons.

Those who were a little less enthusiastic about the autobiographical reenactment were the Italian Lazio captain, who was offended by a specific scene in one of the episodes where Maradona is seen as a Napoli player, slapping in reference to his opponent: "These fascists want to humiliate us."

The club was furious at the fact that Amazon chose to label them as a fascist group, and at the same time demanded that the production company cut the scene in question.

"This scene is particularly unreasonable and painful," they wrote in a special press release. "The use of the term 'fascism' is even more abominable because it is a deliberate defamation. Maradona.

It was further stated that "Diego has more than once shown that he is actually a true friend of Lazio. That is why this scene is so disrespectful to Lazio fans and also to the memory of the great champion."
