2021-12-08T19:59:24.395Z

The European champion absorbed the extra time, and after a dramatic 3: 3 at Zenit lost the home lead • The Bianconeri took advantage of the stumble and climbed from first place thanks to 0: 1 over Malmo

Four days after losing first place in the Premier League when they lost to West Ham, Chelsea also lost first place in the Champions League's eighth place tonight (Wednesday) when they finished in a dramatic 3-3 with Zenit.

At the same time, Juventus defeated Malmo 0: 1 and took the summit at the expense of the European champions.

Until the 93rd minute it was Timo Werner's big night.

Thomas Tuchel made eight changes to the squad compared to West Ham, and one of those who got a chance was the German striker.

Already after two minutes Werner gave Chelsea the 0: 1 they needed, but Zenit returned the war and completed a makeover from goals by Claudino and Sardar Azmon.

At the same time, Juventus led 0: 1 over Malmo from a goal by Moiza Ken (spectacular cooking by Federico Bernardski) and in this state of affairs Yuva was first and Chelsea second.

In the second half Werner got into action again.

When he cooked Romulo Lukaku his first goal in about three months and five minutes to finish he himself completed a makeover with a great goal, but the last word was Zenit's.

Deep in extra time Dwarf Ozdoyev sent a volley to the connections of the substitute goalkeeper and set up a 3: 3 that set off celebrations in St. Petersburg and Turin.

Yuba, unlike the league, finished first.

Chelsea second, and Zenit third will continue in the Europa League.
