Munich - He was jointly responsible for the death of Dominik Brunner († 50) in 2009: Markus S. (30) was sentenced to nine years and ten months in prison for murder. In May 2019, the brutal thug was finally released from JVA Ebrach (Bamberg district), but even after that he came into conflict with the law again: Because S. violated his legal requirements several times - he will have to answer again in Munich next week. The regional court will hear his case on Thursday. There are two cases of cocaine use.

Early release had been refused and he served the entire nine years and ten months.

But in the summer of 2019, less than six weeks after his release, Markus S. first violated his conditions when he went to party in a Munich disco.

The police attacked him with more than one per mille in his blood.

The district court ruled in December 2019 that he was "significantly intoxicated". However, a mild sentence was pronounced against Markus S.: He received five months' imprisonment, which was suspended on probation.

Despite the rapid relapse rate, one expert believed: "The defendant seems to be getting his life under control." Because Markus S. has a regular job and a steady relationship - to this day.

His lawyer Maximilian Pauls says: "As a young person who spent almost ten years in prison, everything doesn't run smoothly." The fact that difficulties arise is "not surprising."

Markus S. had to report to the probation service every two weeks, but he was again criminal.

According to prosecutors, he is said to have used cocaine twice in the summer of 2020.

"The cases were minor and he reported them himself," says Pauls.

The actual consumption was later also no longer verifiable, only the traces in the urine of Markus S. But the district court knew no mercy: "You already had your last chance," complained Judge Isabell Pisall in May - referring to that already known suspended sentence.

She finally sentenced Markus S. to nine months in prison - this time without any chance of parole.

Trial in Munich: Markus S. is now threatened with imprisonment again

On December 17th

His lawyer points out: “Locking yourself up is the wrong way to go.

Because it would ruin the very positive development in life. ”For the public prosecutor, on the other hand, there is no longer any pardon due to the multiple violations of the conditions.

Markus S. is now facing imprisonment again.
