Today, the Armenian Defense Ministry announced the killing of one of its soldiers and the wounding of 8 others in an exchange of fire on the border with Azerbaijan.
Sputnik news agency quoted the ministry as saying in a statement that a soldier was killed and 8 others were wounded during a clash with Azerbaijani forces in the Gykarkunik region, indicating that 6 of the wounded were in serious condition.
Yesterday, Armenia and Azerbaijan exchanged accusations of bombing each other's military sites in a continuation of the border tension between the two sides since the Karabakh war that took place between them in the fall of last year.
