In a statement, the State Department announced that it had approved the plan to sell four combat frigates and their equipment, worth 6.9 billion, less than three months after the signing in Paris by French President Emmanuel Macron and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis reached an agreement for a similar contract, which remains to be finalized.
