Tonatiuh Guillén, former commissioner of the National Migration Institute, tells CNN that if he were still in office, he would maintain his original plan to provide security and regularization conditions for migrants in Mexico.

Guillén says that currently there is no humane reaction to the migrant problem, and that President López Obrador's plan to plant trees as a way to contain migration is not enough.
