When the mothers of Shahar Margalit and Sean Ben Zion recovered after the birth of their children, they apparently encountered each other in the maternity ward.
However, they probably did not assume that the babies they had just given birth to, and perhaps there was a bed next to a bed in the nursery, would sleep bed by bed in the staff quarters where they would serve together, and would share many things in common.
"We did not know each other before the enlistment," says Shahar, "but when we met in the conscription chain at BKOM, we had a quick connection." They only created when they put on uniforms and enlisted a year ago in the Combat Collection Corps.
"After we enlisted," Shahar recalled, "we looked at each other's enlistment and were amazed to see that we got the same personal number, except for the last digit. My personal number ended in the number 8 and Sean's in the number 9. We thought it was a crazy coincidence."
Shahar became interested in when and where his new friend was born.
"He asked me what my date of birth was," says Sean. "I replied that I was born on July 2, 2002, and he said it was also his date of birth. He was. "When Shahar asked Sean what time he was born, he was amazed at the answer:" He was born at 2 at night and so was I.
That's why my parents called me Shahar, because I was born near the first light. "
The two have one more thing in common and he is a close friend named Tomer Biran, who until the recruitment accompanied each of them separately.
With one he has been in a relationship since childhood and with the other he attended high school.
When it came time to decide where they wanted to enlist, the three of them chose the Combat Collection Corps.
The three serve in the 595th Regiment of Combat Collection, in the same company, in the same platoon and with the same crew.
Shahar returned from a commanders course, and today he is also the commander of Sean and Tomer.
