After the sequels to "Gilmore Girls" and "Sex and the City," another iconic series is set to return from the dead.
The Variety website reports that the masterpiece drama "Deep Feet Under" will be revived, and that HBO has recently begun developing a new series that will continue the one that ended more than a decade and a half ago.
At this stage it is not yet known about a screenwriter whose name is linked to the project and it has not yet been decided on a clear plot line that will lead it.
This means that at the moment it is not yet clear whether it will be a remake (i.e. a remake of the familiar plot), or a series that will continue to follow the exploits of the familiar characters from the original beloved series.
The creator of the original series, Alan Ball, and lead producers Bob Greenblatt and David Genolari are linked to the project, and they are expected to produce it.
Due to this I still do not know if the idea will move beyond the initial discourse stage, especially in light of the fact that the ending of the original series is considered one of the best and most esteemed television endings of all time.
Representatives of the HBO network declined to comment, as did representatives of Alan Bull.

"Deep in the Ground" aired for 5 seasons, from 2001 to 2005, and included 63 episodes.
