Haim Osdon comes up with a new series on the sports channel, where he meets athletes and hears from them about past experiences • Osdon: "Everyone loves to talk about their childhood"

When you think of a new TV show for Haim Osdon, or as your kids call it - "Uncle Haim", it makes more sense for it to be on one of the kids' channels.

But this time Uncle Haim came to the sports channel, with a new program starring him called "Yesterday at Five," which aired on Saturday at 2 p.m.

In the program, which is aimed at young audiences, Osdon meets with Israel's great athletes past and present in their home environment, and hears from them about past experiences from home and school.

Among the interviewees will be Itai Schechter, Yoni Erlich, Ido Kozikaro, Miki Berkovich and more.

"During the boring Corona period, he would talk, especially in the children's world, which is built on gatherings in performances," says Haim (51), "but I was also an entrepreneur at heart, and I understood that I had to think differently. Mr. Between 'and the children,' called 'Uncle Haim is coming in.' And I told myself that 5 is my favorite channel, I'm a man of sports, and I decided to take that pair of words and make it a series about athletes' childhood.

"Most of the athletes we approached immediately agreed. It turns out everyone likes to talk about their childhood. Most of them have kids watching me on TV, so that stole them. And I came in well, I did not ask a question that would embarrass anyone. I wanted to show the track in the fast Instagram era, for example "Arik Zeevi from the shelter in Pardes Katz until the world championships, or Ido Kozikaro, who until the age of 16 did not get a shirt to go to the games. I myself played football until the age of 12. Already after the first program I received amazing reactions, and we have a green light for a second season."

Alongside the new program, of course, he does not abandon the world of children in which he has been starring for about 30 years, and these days he appears in the Hanukkah show that continues to run as "Adventure in the Jungle," about which he says: Corona's graduation party. "

Are you not bothered by other variants?

"This is a graduation party with an asterisk. Life is stronger than anything, and when there is a desire there is a way."
